I thrift..A LOT, & I'm kind of good at this thrifting thing. However, there is only soo much of the good stuff I can keep and there comes a time when I have to let go of some things (more like am forced to because...boyfriend and space). Here is the fun part where you can get your hands of some of the pretty gorgeous and awesome things I find. I have started a tradsey closet where I will list weekly pieces. See those Gucci loafers pictured above, yes they are listed in my closet. So head over and shop my closet and make sure to check back weekly to see what new goods are listed.
La amiga Kim of KPFusion tagged me in a blogger interview, and it has been EONS since I've done anything like this (livejournal anyone?), I thought why the heck not. I'll play along, plus I'm actually nosy and want to see what those I tagged have to share. Keep reading to see what motivated me to do this thing called blogging and where I foresee my blogging future.
My birthday was last Thursday and I celebrated from the Saturday before to the Saturday after. As a thirty something I decided to completely embrace my grown womanness and enjoy myself completely. I celebrated with friends and family and got myself a few things here and there.

Nothing better than crisp white sheets, sleek shoes, and a fabulous lippie.
Hope you all enjoyed the holiday.

I know, I know, things have been a little dry around these parts. What can I say I got busy, life was in overdrive, I had to redo my floors (*ahem I'm a midtown renter ahem*), the dog ate my homework...stop... In all honesty I've been focusing on wrapping my pretty little natural hair vintage loving head around what it means to be an entrepreneur (if you missed it I opened an online vintage boutique over HERE). Thus, my lovely little piece of internet reality got tabled. Alas, it's a new year and, dare I say it, a new me. I've refound my passion for writing and sharing it with the masses and I've rediscovered my love of the electic fashion life.
Expect some new things to emerge on that's so chic. Hopefully I haven't lost all of my wonderful readers, and for those who just happened to find me cause I had a I LOVE KATE SPADE moment last year, or I gave my previous little heart over to sephora and ulta during the spring and had copious beauty posts, WELCOME. There is soo much more thrift amour posts up my sleeve, interior loves to share, and of course beauty crushes to be had.
Small Business Saturday is fastly approaching. After the sales of Black Friday, on Nov. 24th to show support of the great local businesses in your community shop small business. As a new small business owner (let me pause and take in the excitement) I have always aimed to do business with local restaurants stores, and boutiques. From vinyl, to baked goods, to beauty products, the small businesses of my community are what makes it unique, intimate, and a great place to live. For more information visit Small Business Saturday on facebook.
Check out my guest post on KPFusion where I offer 10 thrifting tips to make everyone a super chic thrifter.
My first stop was to the launch party of Pouts and Winks at the Vault in Metro67. Pouts and Winks founded by Ronda Boutte offers a line of affordable cosmetics.
One of the most chicest lip looks is the nude lip and I have been obsessed with mastering it. While trying to obtain the perfect nude pout, I have amassed a mini nude lipstick collection. Some are great options, while others, well let's just say I won't be using them again.
1 Revlon Lip Butter 095 Creme Brulee
2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Creme 613 Just Enough Buff
3. Wet n Wild Lipstick 902C Bare It All
4. YSL Rouge Volupte 28 (color is discontinued, but a close current would be 3 Ultimate Beige)
5. Kate Lipstick Rimmel Collection 14

While purusing Allure.com one day I came across a post with an opportunity to join a new sample box membership. Beauty Bar in partnership with Allure is offering the luxe beauty box Sample Society. Sample Society is similar to Glossy Box, where you pay a monthly membership fee and receive box of 5 luxury beauty products ranging from skin care, makeup, perfumes, and hair care. Each box comes with a booklet of tips on the included products and on beauty maintenance and regiments. Plus, you receive a $15 gift code to use when purchasing products from Beauty Bar's website.
I must be honest and admit I slacked with my initial intentions of posting once a month about my new Sample Society box. So in this post I will share both June and July's boxes.

This blog began as my outlet to share my passion for a fashionable lifestyle. As I have gone on this journey I have deepened my understanding and drive towards my love for all things stylish not too mention soo many opportunities have come my way. I am soo excited to share with you all the many different projects that I am involved in and will hopefully soon be opening my online store.
I truly hope that the site is more stream lined and less cluttered. As always, as I grow, so will this blog, so this will forever be a work in progress. I am excited to offer new types of posts and resurface some oldie but goodies that I sort of have fallen by the wayside. With a new name, depicting the essence of who I am and what the blog is about, I am excited to continue to bring beauty and style tips that are budget friendly and that are so chic.

Continuing with the series of my top must-have beauty products du jour, today's focus is on the face; more specifically the foundation. Finding the right foundation products is essential in creating that flawless polished look. I have seriously oily skin that at times will behave and mimic a combination skin type. Depending on the season, my face can start out really dry then end the day super oily. I also have really sensitive skin and if I wear the wrong type of makeup I will have serious breakouts.
