Vintage Designer Jewelry
Confession...I like nice things. I also like to save my coins. As little girl I did not realize why my mother LOVED thrift stores and antique markets so much. However, as a fully grown woman, with fully grown woman responsibilities, I TOTALLY GET IT. Thrifting smartly has allowed me to discover and own some really beautiful things.
Ninety-five perfect of the pieces in my jewelry collection have been thrifted, be it from a brick and mortar thrift store or from online shops. I have found that when sourcing vintage jewelry it is important to keep 3 things in mind, (1) logo, (2) condition, and (3) price point.
These vintage Givenchy earrings are the first piece of designer jewelry I have owned. |

One of my all the favorite thrift finds. The inlaid pearls are such a sweet detail. |
The detail in these vintage earrings are soo good. |
Just as important in knowing your brands, another tip to keep in mind is, if it is not in good condition or not in tune with your style, it is not worth your time or money. Leave it sis. With that in mind, on the same note, know how much you are willing to spend to acquire the piece you are wanting. I now live by these tips, however in my early thrifting exploits, I made a lot of mistakes and I learned the hard way.
