Product Review // L'Oreal EverPure Repair & Defend Line
Preparing my hair for warmer days, I am always delighted to discover new products that leave my hair soft, smelling lovely, and protected.
I have color treated natural African American hair. I am am super conscious of using products that not only keep my color vibrant, but also help to build strength back into in my hair. As a natural I want my curls to stay popping and want to retain length. Cause you naturals know that shrinkage is real. I have used several lines of L'Oreal products in the past. I was super excited and interested to see how the L'Oreal EverPure Repair & Defend line would hold up to my past experiences.
I was able to try the full line which has a shampoo, conditioner, mask, and daily lotion. The line is sulfate free, which is a bonus. Thus it claims to be a non-abrasive product, great for color treated hair. It also has no parabens, no harsh salts, and is 100% vegan.
This line is L'Oreal's first ever sulfate-free color treated hair care line. Additionally L'Oreal states that by using the entire line in tandem hair is 3x stronger, more resistant, and color will stay more vibrant after each wash. They had me at sulfate-free. Just keeping it real.
Just to get a really good idea of how my hair would respond to this product I used it for an entire month. Since I am a woman of color I do not wash my hair daily, as this would be entirely to harsh for my hair type. Additionally I am also using several protective styles. I wanted to stay true to my daily routine.
Well used shampoo & conditioner. Don't judge the camera phone quality. Just wanted to show who well loved this product was. |
I am pleasantly surprised just how well my hair has responded to this product. I have pretty much used all of the shampoo and conditioner. Both leave my hair super clean, shiny, and my color has remained vibrant. Additionally I must say that my curls HAVE BEEN POPPING!!! I have used the mask about 3 times. I do not really use masks often, as they are meant to be a deep conditioning and are a treat to the hair. Since daily washes are a no-no, the lotion works more for me as a refresher in between washes. It leaves my hair smelling and feeling crisp and clean. It also helps to keep my curls defined and is a great protectant now that it is warming up.
Depending on you buy, the line can range from $6 to $9 which is pretty affordable. The product lasted me a full month. For those that do daily washes I would highly suggest to stock up, as you could easy go through the shampoo and conditioner in two weeks. The mask and lotion have lasted the longest as a little product goes a long way.
Overall I am pleasantly pleased with this line and will be keeping it as apart of hair care regimen. Have you tried the EverPure line or any other L'Oreal products? Maybe you have tried another brand.I wold love to hear your thoughts, so please do shared.
I received these products via Influenster for review. Opinions are my own.
