Join me this coming Sunday, August 16th, for the 2015 Beauty and the Business: Ultimate Professional Empowerment Confernce founded by Los Angeles based celebrity makeup artist, beauty expert, and entrepreneur Melissa Hibbert. The day will be jammed packed with really informative workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with some of our city's most recognized fashion designers, celebrity makeup artists, and renowned beauty experts.

Beauty and the Business Memphis, presented by Phillip Ashley Chocolates, (let me pause just a moment and day dream about how delicious their chocolates are. yummmm) will also have a fashion showcase presented by White House Black Market, and a natural hair showcase by A Natural Affair salon. Founder Melissa Hibbert shared, “This empowerment tour will be an invaluable experience that explores the not-so-glamorous, but ever-so vital aspects of beauty that every entrepreneur needs to understand. Nowhere else will a person have access to this much knowledge, experience, talent, and expertise in one room, in one day!"
In regards to her vision for Beauty and the Business, Hibbert stated, “I’ve learned a lot throughout my journey from a corporate executive to now an entrepreneur. There will be several power panels featuring key local beauty and fashion players such has Renee Wills, CFO of Oak Hall, Meosha Williams, Professional Makeup Artist for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and Krista Gray Brooks, General Manager of White House Black Market just to name a few. Topics throughout the day will cover a variety of behind the scenes aspects that are crucial in the beauty and fashion industry such as how to work with brands, creating revenue, and developing your branding image.
