That's So Chic

Confession...I like nice things. I also like to save my coins. As little girl I did not realize why my mother LOVED thrift stores and antique markets so much. However, as a fully grown woman, with fully grown woman responsibilities, I TOTALLY GET IT.  Thrifting smartly has allowed me to discover and own some really beautiful things.

Warmer is weather is approaching which means my style will be filled with more carefree looks. No matter if I am wearing jeans and t-shirt or a flowy dress, a pair of chic statement earrings makes it all look effortless.

This summer was filled with a lot of local sightseeing and, being what my fiance likes to call, "a tourist" in my own city. I discovered new cafes, boutiques, and local artisans. One of my favorite local creatives, David Quarles IV, had several pop-ups this summer and I was able to get my hands on some of his pieces.

I live in the south, key for the temps are too hot. Thus the warmer months have approached and my outfits have gotten lighter, meaning no outer wear, no layers, nothing that is going to make me want to snatch it off and throw it in the trash. However, I still want to add a little something special & what more perfect way than incorporating a pretty bauble or two or there.  Its been a while since I have done a thrift/vintage challenge so to make things interesting I have decided to force myself into wearing showcase the beautiful pieces in my vintage jewelry collection.
