As stated in this post, I am embarking on only buying thrifted clothes for 21 days. My weekly goal is to not exceed $50. Hopefully I will keep a little extra in the bank and have more $$ to use towards the holidays. I am a thrifter at heart, so this really just gives me another reason to visit some of my favorite thrift stores.
At the end of last week, I acquired four new blazers: 1 black linen, 1 houndstooth, 1 cobalt, and 1 cream
Each blazer cost about $5 bringing my weekly total to $25, half of my $50 spending limit. These jackets can easily go for about $30 to $60 per blazer, even $80+ depending on the retailer, if I was to find similar in stores. I will be making an outfit post using these blazers soon.

The holidays are fast approaching, well I guess you can they have arrived. Halloween is behind us and Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are right around the corner. Inspired by this bloggers 356 day thrifting challenge, I've decided to give my wallet a little R&R by going on a 21 day thrifting challenge. I am not allowed to buy any clothing items, outside of lingerie and shapewear, from places other than thrift stores. So outwear, shoes, accessories, pants, dresses, you get the idea, must all be thrifted. To make things even more frugal, I can only spend no more than $50 a week. Honestly I aim to spend even less per week, but you never know when you might come across that to die for shoe or gorgeous vintage bauble. Each week I will post my finds and amount spent. If all goes well, I just might extend the challenge on into December. Wish me luck!!

Trends come and go. While there are some aspects of the "it" color, print, or style dujour that will translate overtime, majority of these hot looks fade from season to season, as does my infatuation with them. I have learned to invest in those pieces that I can incorporate into my wardrobe year round and will love for many years to come. However, the trendier items in my opinion should cause very minimal impact on your wallet. Such places as TJMaxx, Target, and thrift stores are excellent places to find inexpensive yet unique and beautiful on trend pieces.

My first introduction to Kate Spade were those multicolored striped totes that seemed to be apart of every sorority girl's uniform when I was in undergrad. I just could not get why they were so gaga for those rather interesting little bags. Well fast forward some years later (modesty with those years) and I am heads-over heels for all things Kate Spade. My closet (ok my bedroom) is overflowing from my love of jackets and blazers. I believe that in a crunch a blazer can dress up any look and give you an effortless chic and put together feel. I love this jacket by Tory Burch. I have seen several jackets that look similar. The most recent and most budget friendly version is a piece offered by Forever 21. Which jacket do you prefer?
I adore luxury brands. I also adore having money in the bank. Investing in high-end items can indeed enrich and add a little polish to your wardrobe. Having great style and being financially savvy are things that every fashionable individual should be good at. I work hard at being both, so I look for pieces that are inspired by the high-end looks I adore. I come across a lot of beautiful finds and thought that sharing these maybe helpful for others. However the $500+ price and my non-profit worker's salary did not compute. Well the shoe gods smiled and offered these lovely options, one via Kate Spade New York, and the most recent find, by Me TOO. Which do you like more?

While doing a little online browsing (okay, shopping), I was able to purchase a few items that have been living on my wish list. All of the items were on sale, so score for me. I've been working hard on getting healthy and in better shape (post coming soon), so I was really excited to find some new pieces to incorporate into my wardrobe.
