The world now knows Misty Copeland as Principal Dancer for American Ballet Theater. This is no small feat as she is the FIRST African American principal dancer for ABT in its 75 year history. I have been a huge fan of Misty's since she first hit my radar a few years back. I grew up in ballet and discovering her, though well after my dancing years, still was a major experience. I am in total awe of this woman and her fervor and determination of perusing her passion. (nytimes.com)
