I met up with my mom a few weeks back for a quick lunch. We decided to pop into Casablanca as it had been a while since I was last there, and it is close to my job. One of the things I love out Casablanca are the ceilings. They are completely covered in the most beautiful arrangements of fabrics. I instantly feel like I am on vacation in some far off land, and not just across the street from my office.
I have yet to try anything from there that isn't DELICIOUS. I started with the spanokopita and it was soo yummy. It was super flaky with just the right amount of spinach and feta cheese. I also had to order their special house made lemonade. It is freshly squeezed infused with honey and herbs. It is literally perfection in a glass.
For my entree I had the beef and lamb sharma pita with a side of fries. The sandwich is made of marinated shaved slices of beef and lamb that are rotisserie grilled. The sandwich alone is really tasty, but I added their house sauce made of spicy green herbs and yogurt. Oh my goodness. This sauce is soo freaking delicious that I wanted to secretly snatch the bottle and put in my purse. I added that sauce all throughout that sandwich and even dipped my fries in it.
These ceilings though!!!! Like how freaking beautiful.
I highly suggest stopping by either of their 3 locations. I believe the one Popular is the only one with those gorgeous ceilings. Maybe I will just take peek into their other locations soon, you know for research purposes.
