Favorite Thrifted Summer Bags
Last Spring/Summer Cult Gaia brought out the Ark bag and everyone lost their dang on minds. This bag led to a whole heap of rattan, straw, and woven bags from fast fashion to high end brands alike. Some of these bags are pretty reasonably priced and others, like the Ark are $$$$. Depending on your style, or preference in quality and durability, buying one of these type of bags might not be worth the investment for you. Learning your way around the thrift store cannot only be kind on your bank account, but also keep you on trend.

Yes Cult Gaia's Ark bag is highly coveted, but in all honestly EVERYONE had this bag as a kid. I just refuse to pay over $100 for this bag. No ma'am... return to sender.. do not collect $200. Also, if we are really keeping it honest, though very beautiful, they are not very practical.
For those who want the look of an on trend bag, but do not want to not spend all their coins, thrift stores can be your salvation. I have found some truly beautiful pieces, that give me that "it bag" look, while saving MAJOR coin.

The "in" bag or "in" look can change season to season. Some trends end up sticking around and become timeless. Others, well we all look back and go WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!! Thrifting summery bags is a great way to try out a look, sans all of the buyers remorse when you find yourself no longer reaching for it.
This season I have found myself being pulled to alot of rattan and woven pieces. I have acquired some really beautiful pieces at are just soo good. My favorite bag of the moment is this beautiful gold leather woven Ferragamo number. It is soo chic and instantly dresses up any look. This beauty instantly caught my eye and it was love at first site. It being a high-end bag sealed the deal.

I have thrifted many clutches, and this is by far my favorite warm weather clutch. She is also extremely versatile. I have worn her to brunch, to the movies, and to dinner with my honey.
Lastly, this straw tote. It looks to be authentic, made in a province in China. Surprisingly this bag HOLDS A LOT. I took it out recently to a blogger meet up and it held my camera, note pad, and my purse.
This bag a really easy to carry. Each time I wear it, I feel like I'm off on vacation. All that is missing is the beach and a drink. HA!
