Monday Manicure: Half Moons

by - 10:00 AM

I have a love hate relationship with OPI polishes. The shades are always soo pretty, as I am currently heads over heels for the New York City Ballet collection. However, it has been my experience that the polish either chips in less than one day or begins to slowly fade starting at the tips of my nails. I recently visited a new nail salon, The Polish Bottle, which I LOVE might I add. I picked out a very pretty melon color initially. However, as I was getting my manicure this muted shade of mint caught my eye and knocked the lovely little shade of melon completely out of the ballpark. Well one day later, in true to form, the manicure chipped. Two days later it was in shatters. I love the shade, but had to do something to my hands, so I decided to do half moons in white. Honestly it's not my favorite shade combo, but it did make my mani look fresh.

Here's the finished look plus my before gorgeous manicure and what I used to make my half moons.

colors used: original manicure in OPI Thanks a WindMillion, half moons in Essie Marshmellow
